The Signing

The signing between Walt Anderson and Yuri Semenov. (Valery Ryumin is in the background). The MirCorp agreement remains one of the more interesting in manned space and in the recent history of Russia. It allowed a foreign commercial company to market fully a national Russian icon. The arrangement was supported more by the Russian nationalists than the Western reformers who worried about displeasing NASA.
