7 Million Phone Call

Anderson’s dramatic gesture to wire seven million dollars to cement the MirCorp negotiations flopped. The Russians just didn’t believe the funds had been sent during lunch via his cell phone and the congratulatory toasts were forced. When the funds did arrive Energia panicked since without a written contract the money could be confiscated by the authorities.
